Midlife Homecoming

Today is the first day waking up back in my home in Portugal, after spending September visiting my childhood home in the United States. I stayed offline to savor every moment of family time. Friends dropped by with laughs, stories, and even a delivery of hand-crafted Kentucky Mule cocktails. Speaking of bourbon, Cleveland Whiskey fired up the grill for my return visit to the home of my midlife distillery internship, which also brought back fun memories. The folks at Akron Honey were sweet enough to rush me some of their artisan honeys too. So, of course, I came back to sunny Portugal packing bourbon and honey!

Thank you so much to subscribers who reached out to ask if I was OK because they missed The Hot Goddess blog posts. Though I took the month off from blogging and from Instagram while I traveled to the U.S., I still continued to write.
