If you’re a regular reader here or on my Instagram page, you know I like to make up words. “Trumpectomy” and “Back-to-normaling,” for example. Every Monday I’ll feature a new word here for open minds. Any suggestions? Would love those, too.
Solituvation
Today’s made-up word is solituvation (n): the state of protection and healing achieved by spending time alone. Often required by introverts.
Derived from: solitude (the state of being alone) + salvation (the act of saving or protecting from harm)

Thoughts? Suggestions? Let me know in the comments.

Love this and so necessary! People also seem to get some of this vibe confused with selfish, which I always think is a mistake. We need to do this to be happy! Thank you 😊🌺

Silentude. Silence & Solitude.
Because it is quiet time spent alone – without thoughts or movement but a still awareness – that is healing

Oh my, apparently this is what I’ve been doing and didn’t know it, lol. I’m going to have to check my big brown book, thanks!

Me too! As an introvert I definitely require solituvation.

Solituvation is actually what keeps me sane. There are people who have not liked the quarantine/pandemic because of being separated from people but I have actually thrived. I’ve begun learning Italian and taken up many other learning pursuits with the extra “me” time.

Oh Carla, me too! I have loved it and experienced so much growth! How wonderful you are learning Italian ❤

Thanks for that. A nice word. A big word. A big word that needs a big space in my mind and in my life.
