Hello, December

Closing out November and welcoming December with an olio of things that made me smile, courtesy of midlife friends who love to share memes, and a midlife man who loves to make me smile.

Me when flu season starts, and I hear coughing while I’m standing in one of the ubiquitous lines here.
Bakery hygiene is particularly important during flu season.
Effective tactic during online grocery shopping too. So many (very cheap!) bottles of (very good!) wine to choose from. I just order all of them. Free delivery as well.
Works like a charm for every meal.
It was so sweet when my namorado gave me a device for extending the life of an opened bottle of wine. It removes the air from the bottle so the wine stays good for weeks. I love that he thought a bottle of wine I open stays around for weeks. So sweet!
We call it “Mimosas” here.
And by “here” I mean at my house.
And by “it” I mean any alcohol with any fruit juice/garnish/flavor/picture on the label.
I miss those all-nighters.
I forgot when this happened.

“Love you” was a nice touch, though.
Relief from constipation and headache can bring out the feels, right ladies?
And Altoids. And Extra-strength Gas-X.
…Not getting dessert, not having a second glass of wine,…oh wait…no…that’s not an adult goal.
Retirement is awesome!
I am guilty of this, I’m told.
It’s especially true when trying to converse in Portuguese. Sometimes, I admit, a little  this-language-is-so-needlessly-fucking-complicated exasperation will seep in and turn a tone in a heartbeat, I’m told.
My face is so loud. And multilingual.
Still trying to learn how to say this in Portuguese.
I think I may have been lovingly told a paraphrased version of this in Portuguese.
Maybe Brenda is an expat and doesn’t know a good beaver barber.
Just saying.
I love picture books!
I still love a good quiche.
And the best snowman on the block award goes to…
Check the drawers for any tongues.
Game night fun. I vote for C.

    Girlfriend, I am still laughing on the floor. What a crack up. Thanks Natalie for sharing all these great memes and good pics of Portugal as the season change.
