If you’re a regular reader here or on my Instagram page, you know I like to make up words. “Trumpectomy” and “Back-to-normaling,” for example. Every Monday I’ll feature a new word here for open minds. Any suggestions? Would love those, too.
Pivotact
Today’s made-up word is pivotact (n): the ability to make changes that don’t upset others.
Derived from: tact (the ability to do or say things without offending or upsetting other people) + pivot (to adapt by adjusting or changing something).

Thoughts? Suggestions? Let me know in the comments.

Great one! I think the verb form might be pivotesse as in pivot+finesse. She pivotessed her visa situation to suit her new lifestyle plans. ๐
