Midlife Made-Up Word

Ersatzisfied ~ Made-Up Word Monday

If you’re a regular reader here or on my Instagram page, you know I like to make up words. “Trumpectomy” and “Back-to-normaling,” for example. Every Monday I’ll feature a new word here for open minds. Any suggestions? Would love those, too.

Today’s made-up word is ersatzisfied (adj.): Used to describe someone who is pretending to be content or happy.

Derived from: ersatz (artificial, fake, imitation) + satisfied (content, happy, fulfilled)

Thoughts? Suggestions? Let me know in the comments.

    • Lol! I know! I always let my post drafts sit a while and then come back to read them out loud before publishing. I came back to read this one out loud after having a glass of wine🍷. It wasn’t pretty. 😂
