If you’re a regular reader here or on my Instagram page, you know I like to make up words. “Trumpectomy” and “Back-to-normaling,” for example. Every Monday I’ll feature a new word here for open minds. Any suggestions? Would love those, too.
Abass
Today’s made-up word is abass (n): a deep void where absurd ignorance has vanquished common sense.
Derived from: abyss (a deep, immeasurable space, gulf, or cavity; vast chasm) + ass (a stupid or foolish person)

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Thoughts? Suggestions? Let me know in the comments.

Amen!
Have you ever listened to the speech MLK gave in Toronto, shortly before he was assinated? It’s one of The Massey Lectures done by the CBC. They broadcast lectures from the great thinkers of that era. It was briadcast in 1967, and called Conscience for Change. He refers to Canada as “the north star”. Google it. Or send me an email and I’ll send you a link. Luckily, it hasn’t been lost in the “abass”!

So much absurd ignorance is willful. That’s a great MLK quote.
