If you’re a regular reader here or on my Instagram page, you know I like to make up words. “Trumpectomy” and “Back-to-normaling,” for example. Every Monday I’ll feature a new word here for open minds. Any suggestions? Would love those, too.
Confusident
Today’s made-up word is confusident (adj.): used to describe a state of outward assurance and certainty that masks actual bewilderment.
Derived from: confident (certain; sure of; full of conviction) + confused (being perplexed or disconcerted; lacking clarity or understanding).

Thoughts? Suggestions? Let me know in the comments.

Confusident might describe your spellcheck’s attitude toward your vocabulary.

This pretty much sums up my state-of-being since this year began. Being able to name it will perhaps help me to come out from the fog. Thanks, Natalie.

I’m a poster child for this. Still waiting for the fog to clear.

I love it. Makes me think of the term, fake it till you make it. Be confusident, youโll work it out eventually.
