If you’re a regular reader here or on my Instagram page, you know I like to make up words. “Trumpectomy” and “Back-to-normaling,” for example. Every Monday I’ll feature a new word here for open minds. Any suggestions? Would love those, too.
Vexpat
Today’s made-up word is vexpat (n): a worried or irritated person living in a foreign country; or, an annoying person living in a foreign country.
Derived from: expat (short for expatriate: a person who chooses to live in a foreign country) + vex (to worry, trouble, or annoy).

Thoughts? Suggestions? Let me know in the comments.

I can relate Natalie! The vexpats and growing restrictions have lessened my desire to move abroad. Kudos for poking fun and being willing to move forward anyway.

Thank you Brad! It is scary. I’m trying to look for the humor and keep a positive attitude. Fingers crossed!
