I’ve done a lot of dating. As February, the month of love, draws to a close I thought I’d share what I call the stages of dating, based on nearly four decades of experience.
I wrote earlier about how I’ve enjoyed meeting new people for potential dating relationships, and how solo travel taught me to have fun on those dating app blind dates. (Thank you Brad at Writing to Freedom for plugging my post on your blog!)
After a spark is struck and a dating relationship progresses, however, I’ve found there are a series of stages that occur in the process. I created these handy infographics on Canva to outline the stages of dating in your 20s and 30s, 40s and 50s, and 60s.

What about you? What’s been your past or current experience with the stages of dating?
Check out my Instagram for what having fun while dating can look like when it turns out to be something special.

And then there are those of us who have been married over 30 years and rarely dated before that except for a couple of idiots. If my current situation suddenly came to an end, I have no desire to do it again. But then I am an introvert who likes her own company.

Thanks for the laughs Natalie. I can relate to much of this from memories of earlier dating. You nailed the 20s and 30s. My 40s were different, and no dating or hot sex in my 60s so that’s a mystery. Hopefully some good stuff is left in the tank! 😃
